Counselling isn’t a job for me – it’s a vocation.
It’s a path I embarked on, having spent many years initially working in often highly-pressured and sometimes glamourous business environments. But I realised nothing was as rewarding as helping individuals overcome their struggles and lead happier lives. And I haven’t looked back.
I'm a professionally qualified Counsellor and a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) as well as an Accredited Member of the National Counselling Society (NCS).
In addition, I'm an accredited therapist for Anxiety UK and have also trained with Cruse Bereavement, specialising in grief and loss, as well as Relate, with a specific focus on couples’ counselling. Furthermore, I am a qualified EFT Practitioner (Level 2).
I think my passion – for what I do as well as for helping the people I work with – is evident and an important component in why the way I work has led to positive and tangible therapeutic results.
I am an Integrative Counsellor which means that I incorporate different techniques and strategies from a number of therapies.
It enables me to draw on the most effective methods suited to you: tuned to your personality, your communication style, your needs, your history and also what you want to achieve from therapy.
After our initial consultation, the resulting therapy programme will be highly tailored to you.
This personalised strategy might include such techniques as:
But please don’t let the science blind you!
My whole focus is on establishing a personal rapport with you and treating you as an individual.
Remaining open-minded is an imperative for me and at its core is establishing a constructive and ongoing dialogue.
My clients – not my techniques – are my priority.
Feel free to look at my testimonials and let my clients speak for themselves.
